By Car - From the South
From I-95 Northbound (Augusta) take Exit 113 onto Maine Route 3 East. Please note: ME-3 continues all the way to Bar Harbor (approx 100 miles) thru the towns of Belfast, Searsport, Bucksport (and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory), Ellsworth and Trenton before crossing over onto Mt. Desert Island.
Once onto Mt. Desert Island make a sharp left at the Exxon station and stay on ME-3. Follow ME-3 for about 10 miles into Bar Harbor (past College of the Atlantic on the left). At the 1st stop sign turn left onto Mt. Desert Street. The Primrose Inn is two blocks on the left after the turn. Enter the parking lot via Mt. Desert Street just past the Primrose Inn sign.
