The Primrose Inn...A Bar Harbor Treasure

Our romantic Bed and Breakfast is ideally located just a few blocks from the center of downtown Bar Harbor and one mile from magnificent Acadia National Park. When staying with us, you will be just a leisurely stroll away from all of the wonderful restaurants, shops, galleries, museums and activities that make Bar Harbor a world-class destination. Additionally our historic B&B is just a few minutes from the entrance to the park (by car or the free Island Explorer bus) and its miles of renowned carriage roads for enjoying hiking, biking, running, leisurely walks and even horseback riding.

Built in 1878, the historic Primrose Inn is decorated in an updated Victorian style with select antiques and enhanced with today's most requested guest amenities. Guests will enjoy the comfortable elegance of the spacious rooms, each with a private bathroom ("en suite"). Many of the rooms also feature cozy gas fireplaces, spa tubs, adjoining sitting rooms, as well as private porches and balconies.

The guest amenities in each room include luxurious 100% cotton linens and Turkish towels, flat-panel televisions, individually controlled air conditioning or heat, free wireless internet access.

Guests of the Primrose Inn will enjoy a hearty full breakfast each morning with a choice of hot entrees served fireside in our dining room or on our outdoor wrap-around front porch.

Our "Afternoon Tea," featuring an assortment of freshly baked treats from the Primrose Inn's kitchen, is very popular with our guests and many plan their day around returning to the inn to relax and enjoy it before dinner.

So journey to this wonderful island just off the coast of Maine and the natural beauty of Acadia National Park and, of course, a most memorable stay at one of Bar Harbor's treasures, the Primrose Inn.
